Charles and Cathey Busch

Charles Busch, founder of Peace Village, has recently completed 20 years of parish ministry and now directs Fields of Peace, the adult education program of Peace Village, Inc. He is Ordained in the United Church of Christ and holds a B.S. (Business Administration) from Trinity University, M.A. (Philosophy) from Trinity University, and Master of Divinity from Harvard University. He is a former partner and Executive Vice President of U.E. Systems, New York. He served 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He lives in Lincoln City, Oregon, with his wife Cathey and their 17-year-old son, Gabriel.

Cathey Lynn Busch has a B.S. in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She has also done graduate work in socio-linguistics, speech pathology, and writing for children. She has taught language arts, speech, and drama, and performed at university theaters and at churches throughout the U.S.. Cathey’s careers include marketing and training at USAA, conference coordination at Trinity University, and extensive work with adults and children who have developmental disabilities. She is currently a yoga teacher of Ageless Yoga, developed by John Schlorholtz of the Harvard Wellness Center. She is also involved in parenting, freelance writing, and peace education.
